TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- Members of the Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Company visited DeSales Catholic School on Tuesday to provide safety instruction to all students in grades Pre-K through eight.
The volunteer firefighters demonstrated the use of their fire fighting and emergency medical equipment, and providing the younger students with tips on fire prevention and safety in their homes. Older students were given more advanced demonstrations of emergency procedures, including treatment for accident victims, and use of the “Jaws of Life.”
Local volunteer firefighters have been visiting DeSales students every October for the past several years in conjunction with the observance of Fire Prevention Month.
