The NCSO patrol car suffered extensive damage -- as did the rolled-over SUV.
CAMBRIA -- An unidentified man was pronounced dead -- and a Niagara County Sheriff's Deputy was injured -- at the scene of a rollover crash at the intersection of Ridge and Plank roads.

Mercy Flight was called to the crash, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Also called to the scene were Niagara County Fire Police, South Wilson Heavy Rescue, Wrights Corners Vol. Fire Co., and Miller Hose.

First in scene crews according to neighbors were working the victim in the rolled over SUV as a trauma code. Other EMS personnel worked on the injured deputy and other injured parties.

The on duty criminal investigator responded, and was interviewing the witnesses. The scene was eventually taped off shutting down the complete intersection of 104 and 93 plank road.

The name of the deceased has not been released to the media, nor has the name of the deputy involved.

Further details will be made available when we get them.

Rescue crews for several area fire departments responded to the crash, as did Mercy Flight.
