Betty J. Wait of Appleton, wife of the late Arthur W. Wait entered into rest on SUNDAY October 11, 2015 at home under care of Hospice.

She was born in Lockport, NY on December 22, 1925. Daughter of the late Lynford and Dorothy Bedford Long. Betty was a member of the Hess Rd. Wesleyan Church and the Barker and Newfane Senior travel clubs.

Mother of Diane (Richard) Mortier of Rochester, NY, Bonnie (Ralph) Weseman of Lockport, NY, Arthur (Ann Marie) Wait Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Sandra (Lawrence) Kipler of Tonawanda, NY, Stephen (Deborah) Wait of Rochester, NY and the late Joseph Wait. Grandmother of Richard Mortier Jr., Gregory Mortier, Christine Haage and Joseph, Deanna and Alesha Wait. Sister of Mary Russell of Lockport, Jean Cammarano of Florida and the late Janice Randall, Charles Long, Shirley Pacheco and Judith Penwright. Also survived by sister in law Shirley Long and 7 great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1708 Pallister Ave.  Barker, NY on THURSDAY 4 – 8 PM. Funeral services will held on FRIDAY at 10AM in the Hess Rd. Wesleyan Church 2514 Hess Rd. Appleton, NY 14008. Burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094 or Hess Rd. Wesleyan Church would be appreciated by the family.
