ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
SOMERSET — A Bishop Road, Appleton woman was struck and scratched on her face and bit on the thigh at a wedding Saturday at the Somerset Conservation Club, according to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The report says that the woman was leaving the wedding when "an unknown female wedding guest attacked (her) from behind, knocking (her) to the ground." It went on to say that "two unknown female suspects then assisted the first suspect, kicking and striking (the victim) while she was on the ground. ... the first female suspect bit (the victim) on the thigh, and began to scratch at her eye."
Several guests at the wedding then reportedly broke up the scuffle, allowing the victim to flee in her vehicle.
Patrol arrived at the woman's residence and requested for EMS to respond to evaluate her for a minor facial injury and a laceration to her thigh as a result of being bitten by a suspect. The woman, however, was going to be taken to ENH-Lockport by a family member "for a more extensive evaluation."
The victim and two family members who were with her all told NCSO that they had no information on the three suspects. Patrol went to the Somerset Conservation Club and got a name of a potential suspect, but that woman had left by the time patrol arrived. Patrol was to follow up with the potential suspect.
