TORONTO — The Buffalo Sabres scored three goals in a row in the second period of Friday night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs to beat the Leafs 6-4.

Toronto struck first when Stuart Percy scored at 2:11 — a snap shot from Nazem Kadri and Viktor Loov. Daniel Winnik made it 2-0 at 11:38 wth an unassisted snap shot past Buffalo goalie Robin Lehner. The Sabres scored on the power play at 19:07 when Marcus Foligno's slapshot from Sam Reinhart and Mark Pysyk went in.

In the second period, Toronto went up 3-1 on a Matt Frattin snap shot from Mark Arcobello and Morgan Rielly. Brian Gionta made it 3-2 with a tip in of Cal O'Reilly's shot. Pysyk tallied another assist on the goal at 7:07. Four minutes and three seconds, later, Nicolas Deslauriers tied it at 3 with a wrist shot from Reinhart and Jake McCabe. Then Buffalo took the lead at 15:20 with a shorthanded goal from O'Reilly. Brendan Guhle and Gionta assisted.

In the third, Kadri tied it for the leafs at 3:02 from Joffrey Lupul and Michael Grabner. The Sabres went back on top — for good — with a Mark Pysyk powerplay goal at 15:05. Reinhart and Brendan Guhle assisted. David Legwand closed it out with just six seconds to play. Deslauriers and Cody Franson assisted.

The Sabres are now 2-1 in the pre-season. They play again tonight against the Ottawa Senators.
