Fall basketball sessions of the Lockport Family YMCA’s Grade School Basketball programs begin next week.
The Basketball Skill Workshops run during the Fall 1 session from Monday through Nov. 1, while the Fall 2 session, runs from Nov. 2 - Dec. 19, featuring Grade School Leagues for grades 2-3 and 4-5.
The Grade School Basketball League is a YMCA Winners League, a value-based, competitive program for children in grades 2-5. Participants will be divided into separate divisions for grades 2-3 and grades 4-5. All games will be played on Thursday and/or Friday nights at the Lockport Family YMCA. All players must register in advance and attend a mandatory skill evaluation from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on either Oct. 20 or 21.
Price for Lockport Family YMCA members is $30, while it's $60 for program-only members. This cost includes a jersey for league play. Team sponsors and coaches are also needed.
