Irene H. Taylor life’s journey ended peacefully on May 2, 2015 when she went home to the loving arms of Jesus. She was 96.

Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Anna Horton, husband, Robert, brother, Arthur (Viola) Horton. Survived by son, Robert Jr (Muriel), daughter, Anella (Tom) Radtke, grandchildren, Katherine (Todd) Regenscheid, Michelle (Brad) Shawhan, great grandchildren, Taylor Regenscheid and Morgan Regenscheid and many loving, caring nieces, nephews and friends.

She worked as a cashier for many years at the Newfane Middle School. She was an avid card player, voracious reader and loved solving word puzzles. Though faced with many adversities in her life, her positive spirit, steadfast determination, perseverance and optimism were admired by everyone who knew her. She was a truly beautiful person who blessed everyone with her loving smile and unassuming nature. Her greatest love and devotion was to family, friends and faith.

A celebration of her life will be held SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Newfane United Methodist Church 2699 Main St. Newfane, NY. Interment will be in Corwin Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Park Nicollet Foundation, Hospice Special Needs, 6500 Excelsior Blvd., St. Louis Park, MN 55426.
