A 16-year-old bicyclist was taken to Childen's Hospital in Buffalo after being struck by a car this afternoon on Clinton Street.
Lockport Police are investigating the hit-and-run collision that took place around 12:25 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson and Clinton streets.
Police say a maroon four-door vehicle operated by a white male came from Jackson Street onto Clinton Street where it struck the teenage boy then fled the scene.
According to police, the "perpetrator's vehicle should have front-end damage. Car parts were found at the scene."
The teen victim, who was not identified by police, suffered facial injuries.
Anyone with information about the car or the driver is asked to call the Lockport Police Department confidential tip line at 439-6707.
