Four local students were awarded a total of $5,600 in scholarships from the Lockport Community Cable Commission and Time Warner Cable.
The awardees, Andrea Falsone, Hannah Morse, Karin Nilsson and Angela Sammarco, are all 2015 graduates from Lockport High School.
The scholarships will be applied to the colleges they will attend in the fall.
Falsone, Morse and Nilsson received $1,500 Briones Scholarships for students who have volunteered at Lockport Community Television.
Falsone will pursue a degree in computer animation at Savannah College of Art & Design.
Morse will major in film and media studies at SUNY Oswego, while Nilsson will study animation at Daemon College.
The $1,100 Traditonal Scholarship, for students majoring in a communications-related field, was awarded to Angela Sammarco, who will be studying graphic design and communications at SUNY Cortland.
