Joseph J. Rucci passed away Tuesday July 14, 2015 in Niagara Hospice House.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on November 24, 1950, he was the son of John Sr. and Linda Presutti Rucci. Joe worked as a Deputy Sheriff of the Niagara County Sherriff’s Department. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Browns, collecting baseball memorabilia and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Kathy (Crane) Rucci of Lockport; father of Theresa A. (Edward) Kearns, Michael J. (late Faith) Rucci, Daniel P. (Teresa) Rucci, Richard E. (Anne) Rucci, and Sheryl Rucci; grandfather of nine and great grandfather of one; brother of Carol Rucci of Lockport, Dominic (Cheryl) Rucci of Las Vegas, NV and the late John Rucci, Jr.; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 17th at 10:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
