OSWEGO — More than 1,500 students have reserved places as freshmen at SUNY Oswego, including several East Niagara residents.

Local students who have signed up for Fall 2015 classes at SUNY Oswego — beginning Aug. 24 — include:

  • James D. Bachman of Haight Road in Barker, a graduate of Barker Central School.
  • Sara J. Costello of Irving Street, a graduate of Buffalo Academy of Sacred Heart.
  • Sara R. Meal of North Canal Road, a graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School.
  • Hannah E. Morse of Church Street, a graduate of Lockport High School.
  • Katelyn E. O'Donnell of Park Avenue, a graduate of Lockport High School.
  • Cameron C. Porth of Day Road, graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School.
  • Rachel A. Serianni of Cottage Road, a graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School.
  • Jenna C. Wiedenbeck of West Jackson Street, a graduate of Lockport High School.
  • Drake D. Arnold of Chase Road in Middleport, a graduate of Albion High School.
  • Madison J. Dent of Graham Road in Middleport, a graduate of Royalton-Hartland Central School.

Kiplinger's also named SUNY Oswego a 2015 Best Value College.

A 154-year-old comprehensive college in the State University of New York system, Oswego enrolls about 8,000 students in its College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Communication, Media and the Arts; and School of Education.
