Nicholos Hamilton, a 17-year-old outfielder for Lockport High School is major league — literally.
The 5-foot 11-inch, 170-pound right-hander was selected today by the Boston Red Sox in the 11th round of the Major League Baseball draft. He was the 321st pick overall.
Hamilton, who also played football for LHS, has a commitment to San Jacinto Junior College.
UPDATE: Hamilton posted his sentiments on his Twitter account, @N_Hamilton12. He further thanked "everyone for the wishes."
