TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 19-year-old Lockport man was charged Tuesday with a bevy of offenses after being pulled over in a traffic stop by state police.
According to NYSP, Troopers observed Cory M. Huber and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop when Huber stopped far forward of the stop bar on the road at the intersection of South Transit and Robinson roads. Through a computer check, it was discovered the license plates on the vehicle were reported stolen by Buffalo PD. Further investigation revealed the registration was suspended for lack of insurance and the driver, Huber had a driver’s permit only.
Huber was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, operating an unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, obstructing traffic at an intersection and failure to notify DMV of address change.
He was issued an appearance ticket and uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Lockport Court on July 9.
