SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. — Three Lockport men stand accused of robbing a clothing store and then leading police on a chase after the theft.

Philip Anthony Ruiz, 24; Brandon Lake, 24; and Andrew John Baily, 22; were all charged with armed robbery by the Summersville Police Department following the incident at a Rue21 clothing store.

According to police reports,  one of the men — believed to be Ruiz — walked into the store at approximately 7:40 p.m. Monday wearing a mask, threatening an employee with a semi-automatic handgun and demanding cash.

With approximately $360 cash in hand, the trio fled the scene before being pursued by the Summersville Police Department, West Virginia State Police and Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department.

The trio reportedly slowed down once before later pulling over to throw a gun out of the car’s window, according to MetroNews, an online publication out of Charleston, W. Va. When they were finally stopped, a search of the vehicle located the money and the items Ruiz allegedly wore during the crime, along with another gun.

All three are being held on $250,000 bail with further charges pending, according to police.
