ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — New York State Police were on the lookout Friday for a pair of unusual suspects.
The call came in around 8 a.m. for a report of loose horses running wild in the area of Rapids Road. When Troopers arrived, they learned that the horses — two mustangs recently purchased from Nevada — broke through a fence in their pen and eventually headed north to a field on Rapids Road just east of Transit Road.
With the assistance of the Niagara County SPCA and local residents the horses — after several hours of wandering and being evasive — were corralled and returned to the farm.
