Carl A. Mazyck, 43, 269 Beattie Ave., Apt. 1, was charged around 1:55 p.m. Tuesday with aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone, and driving without a valid inspection sticker. According to the LPD report, Mazyck was seen texting while driving while on South Transit Street. When he was pulled over, he was found to be driving without a license or valid inspection sticker. He was due in City Court Tuesday afternoon.

Jerone Drake, 38, 257 Lock St., was charged around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. According to the LPD arrest report, police went to the Lock Street address searching for Drake on a bench warrant. When they arrived, they were told that Drake was not in the house, however, when they searched the home, they found him hiding in a room in the attic. He was to be in City Court Tuesday morning.
