A parade of walkers move westward along the Erie Canal towpath this morning. More than 250 people raised more than $25,000 for Multiple Sclerosis.

A morning walk along the Erie Canal raised over $25,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research. An afternoon run above the escarpment added to that total.

The walk, which began at 10 a.m., offered one-, three-, and five-mile options for teams to walk against MS.

There were more than 250 walkers on 32 teams out to raise funds and awareness. The top team in the walk, GrayMatter, raised $8,760 on its own with team member Pamela Gray accounting for $6,150 of that.

At noon, the National MS Society Team #MSSUCKS held a race starting at the Davison Road Inn. The route took 165 runners on a 5k route around the city and back to the DRI. Last year the race raised over $10,000 for MS research.

The race results, according to score-this.com, follow:
