TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 52-year-old Lockport man was charged today by New York State Police with stealing his former employer's vehicle and blank business checks.
According to NYSP, a stolen vehicle report was filed on Sunday after the vehicle had been taken by Power sometime over the weekend from the Allegheny Services Incorporated located at 5638 Old Saunders Settlement Road. Power was a former employee at the business and managed to steal the keys to a work vehicle along with four company checks from within the office area of the business.
Power was charged with second-degree forgery, second-degree possession of a forged instrument, third-degree criminal trespass, third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and two counts of petit larceny. He was arraigned in the Town of Lockport and remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
