BURLINGTON, Vt. — Matthew Baptiste of Gasport, NY graduated from Champlain College on May 9.
Champlain College's 137th Commencement was held at Edmunds Field in Burlington. A total of 503 undergraduates received their associate and bachelors degrees during the ceremony. Champlain College President Donald J. Laackman lauded the students with a a long list of accomplishments the Class of 2015 accomplished during their years at Champlain.
Sara Byers, president of Leonardo's Pizza, gave the commencement speech and received an honorary degree, Doctor of Commerce, along with David Binch, former director of Vermont Information Technology Center. The Senior Class address was given by Mahmoud Jabari of Palestine and Raymond McCarthy Bergeron '04 spoke on behalf of the alumni.
Champlain offers traditional undergraduate and online undergraduate courses, along with online certificate and degree programs and 11 master's degree programs. For more information, visit www.champlain.edu.
