NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION — The Air Force Reserve's 914th Airlift Wing Airman & Family Readiness Center will be hosting a large scale Career Fair on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4-5 for Reserve members stationed at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station and their families.

The goal is to provide Reservists and their family members with a diverse offering of quality employment ranging from entry level to professional. They're hoping to have 100 employers in attendance.

The center says, "We are expecting maximum participation from the approximately 1,300 Reserve members during the Career Fair. Our Reserve population has a strong sense of duty, is physically and mentally capable, drug-free and possesses a thorough background check and security clearance from the U.S. government."

A Reservist's commitment to the Air Force is one weekend per month and two weeks per year. When not on Reserve duty, they are employed by the civilian sector. The 914th's force is comprised of entry level to highly skilled and professional individuals who can enter the workforce with identifiable and transferable skills, proven in real world situations.

"We are seeking local area and nationwide employers from all sectors of business to participate in the opportunity to hire these qualified individuals," according to a release from the Readiness Center. "There is no cost. To reserve a space at the Career Fair, contact Megan Calero at 236-3214 or, email the completed application to 914AW.FamilySupport@us.af.mil. The deadline for employers to sign up for the event is May 22.
