ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
The Transit Drive-In Theater will open this weekend for the first time of the 2015 season, showing "Furious 7" along with "The Boy Next Door."
"Furious 7" is the seventh installment in the Fast & Furious film series. It is the last film for Paul Walker, who died in a November 30, 2013 car accident. It also stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. "The Boy Next Door" is about a married woman and her much younger suitor, who can't seem to grasp the end of their tryst. It stars Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Guzman.
The drive-in is open only weekends until Mother Nature decides to play nice. This weekend will feature movies on one screen only.
Owner Rick Cohen said, "It's good to be back."
Cohen spent most of February walking. He walked from Kissimmee, Fla. to Ridgeland S.C. in an effort to raise money to assist the Sidney Auto-Vue Drive-In in Sidney, Ohio purchase a digital projector and continue operations. A sprained ankle severely shortened the walk, which was to go all the way to Camden, N.J., but Cohen still has plans to help raise funds for the Drive-In Rescue.
