A 55-year-old Lockport man was charged Sunday with speeding and aggravated DWI following a a Route 31 traffic stop.
According to New York State Police, William Flores was stopped for speeding in the City of Lockport. Immediately upon interviewing Flores, Troopers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. He failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested.
Flores was transported to SP Lockport for processing where he recorded a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.21 percent, nearly three times the legal limit. He was issued tickets returnable to the City of Lockport Court on April 28.
