Lake Effect Ice Cream will open for the season at 4 p.m. Friday.

The artisan ice cream shop will be open 4 -9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The shop has "been hard at work making 28 ice cream flavors, nine freezie pop flavors, five different varieties of our famous cookie ice cream sandwiches and so much more," according to its Facebook page. "We're also working on designing a few new artisan sundaes ... some new over the top milkshakes and, for the first time, this season Lake Effect Ice Cream will be making ice cream cakes."

One of the new sundaes has been revealed to be the "Paula's and Public" sundae, composed of two scoops of a new Revolution espresso ice cream ― made with Public Espresso & Coffee's Revolution coffee, one scoop of Silver Cloud Vanilla ice cream, and big chunks of authentic Paula's Donuts glazed frycakes. It's then topped off with a rich, espresso sauce, a sweet donut glaze, real whipped cream, and a few more frycake crumbles.

More sundaes are expected to be announced in the future.
