WHEATFIELD — The suspect in a multiple-person shooting has reportedly been detained by law enforcement after having been shot. It's believed he was shot by a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy who returned fire on him after the yet-unnamed man shot at the deputy.
Errick Road Elementary School, which is next to the home where the shootings occurred, remains on lockdown.
Two people were injured in addition to the shooter, reports indicate. One of the injured parties may be the deputy who is believed to have shot the suspect.
Two Mercy Flight helicopters have been requested to the scene. Four ambulances have been requested to the scene and another two to stand by.
NOTE: This is a developing story and will be updated as details emerge.

Just so you know. The suspect was never detained. He was found dead inside the house immediately following the shooting.
