BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres dropped a game to the New York Rangers 2-0 Saturday night at First Niagara Center.
Both Rangers goals game in the third period. Keith Yandle scored at 7:31, assisted by Martin St. Louis and Chris Kreider. St. Louis wrapped up the game with an empty-netter at 19:27.
The 19-43-6 Sabres next play Monday night when Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals come to Buffalo.

- Anders Lindback appeared in his 100th NHL game tonight.
- Lindback stopped 31 of 32 Rangers shots tonight, logging a season-best .969 save percentage. Since joining the Sabres on Feb. 11, Lindback has recorded a .925 save percentage and a 2.68 goals-against average.
- Rasmus Ristolainen led all skaters with a career-high ice time of 28:36. His previous high was 27:53 on Dec. 23, 2014 at Detroit.
- With the victory, the Rangers have earned their first-ever four-game winning streak in Buffalo. The Sabres have lost seven straight games to the Rangers for the first time since March 23, 1971 to March 2, 1972.
