TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Davison Road woman under 24-hour care reported to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone had stolen money from an envelope in her room.
The woman said that an envelope containing approximately $200 was hidden in her room at her request by one of the nurses charged with taking care of her. The woman asked one of the nurses to get the envelope for her on Saturday, but it could not be found where it was supposed to be. The same nurse later found the envelope in another place in the woman's room, but it was short approximately $30.
NCSO closed the case pending new information.
