An Orleans County woman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday afternoon at Lockport's Department of Social Services on East Avenue.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Department, Courtney S. Stanford, no age or address given, was found to have an active warrant out of Medina while at social services, as found by the officer there.

When patrol confronted her about it, a woman who said she was her sister became uncooperative and disruptive, saying, "You ain't taking her. She ain't got no warrant. She from Jersey, that ain't her. You just checking her because we gave that lady grief at the window. I'm recording all this. We leaving, come on let's get out of here. You can't arrest her, she didn't do nothing in here. I'm not letting you cuff her. This ain't Medina, you can't arrest her," among other statements and disruptions, according to the arrest report.

Patrol called Medina PD to come collect Stanford. LPD was also called to assist in transferring her to Medina PD.
