ENP STAFF REPORTS

OLCOTT — It had all the makings of a country song.
An Olcott woman admitted to police that she stole a truck with a dog in the back seat, according to an NCSO report filed Wednesday.
Katherine Abbott took the 2013 Toyota Tundra around 6:45 p.m. March 14, according to police. In the backseat of the truck was a 13-year-old dog. Both the truck and the dog went for a ride into Waterport, where they — and Abbott — were found around 8:20 p.m. by Orleans County Sheriff's deputies.
Abbott was charged with third-degree grand larceny. The truck and dog were returned to the owner.
