ENP STAFF REPORTS

Lockport police believe they know who shot Maria Parete Saturday night on Works Place. But they're not saying publicly.
Police have stated publicly that they are searching for a 5-foot 4-inch male suspect they believe shot the 20-year-old girl around 9 p.m. behind the Gulf Station on Washburn Street. They have not, however, released a name for the suspect or further details about his appearance.
Parete was shot in the leg and taken to ECMC for treatment. She was treated and released.
Police combed the area near the gas station late Saturday night and into Sunday morning looking for the shooter — to no avail.
