TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 22-year-old Lockport woman was charged with speeding and DWI after being stopped by New York State Police Saturday.
According to NYSP, Troopers stopped Brittany L. Pigg speeding northbound on South Transit Road.
While troopers interviewed the operator, a strong odor of alcohol was emanating from within the vehicle. Standardized field sobriety tests were performed, which she failed.
Pigg was arrested and transported to SP Lockport for processing with a blood-alcohol content of 0.12 percent. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 12.
