OLCOTT — A Lockport man was charged Sunday morning with driving without a license after Niagara County Sheriff's deputies stopped him on Lockport Street.
According to the NCSO report, the driver, 29-year-old John Freeland Jr., 4967 Escarpment Dr., had his license suspended in December but was driving because his pregnant wife did not want to.
Freeland was ticketed and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He is due in Newfane Town Court on March 24.
Freeland's wife took control of the vehicle and drove from the scene.
