Lockport's Monday Night Car Cruises will hold a dance April 18 and show a movie May 4 before stepping on the gas May 11 with the annual Kick Off Cruise.
The annual spring dance from 7-11 p.m. April 18 at the Lockport Moose Lodge, 204 Monroe St., will have an 80s theme with 80s tunes from the KB Music Machine, beer, wine, snacks, door prizes, raffles and a 50/50 split. Tickets for the 21-and-over event are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more details or tickets, call 289-5459.
"American Graffitti," the classic coming-of-age flick cruisers love to love will be shown May 4 at the Historic Palace Theatre. It will serve as a precursor to 19 straight Mondays of car cruises at Ida Fritz Park. Theme nights for the 15th season of the cruise include Military Night, Law Enforcement Night, 50s Night, Firefighters Night, Bikes and Blues, British Night and more. The full schedule follows:
The 15th season is dedicated to departed friends and volunteers of the Monday Night Car Cruises: Joe Albright, Rodney Cindrich, Dale Brown, Vaughn Gursslin, Jerry Horton, Big John Lyskawa, Joe McCarthy, Paul McComber, Earl Palmer, Sara Person (“Mrs Ribs”), Lou Rosati, Wade Smith, Harold Stolzenberg, Chuck and Delores Woolston, Chris Snaith, and Jody Sossong.
The weekly cruises run from 6-9 p.m. except for Labor Day and Memorial Day, when they begin at 4 p.m.
