Linda Ann (Muscarella) Villella, a loving wife, mother and grandmother entered into eternal rest on March 2, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at home under the care of hospice. She was known among her family and friends as a woman of good humor who cared about others and loved her family.

Linda was born in Lockport, New York on October 8, 1944, the daughter of Jack and Helen Muscarella. She graduated from Lockport High School in 1962 and Rochester Business Institute in 1964. She worked for the Lockport and Grand Island school districts, and retired from the business department at Lockport Memorial Hospital in 1998, when she and Bill moved to Florida. Recently, Linda was the Administrative Assistant at Floranada Floor Coverings in Ft Lauderdale.

Linda was an avid volunteer for many youth organizations. You could find Linda at Ray Lee Baseball Fields in Lockport while her children were growing up. There she served on the board of directors for over ten years and you could always find her in the concession stand. Once she moved to Florida, Linda continued her love for children by volunteering with Henderson Mental Health Center, Broward County Schools and her grandchildren’s school functions. She loved to travel with her husband Bill putting many miles of memories in her life’s scrapbook. She loved the beach and when not at the beach, you could find Linda floating in the pool. One of Linda’s favorite past times was shopping with her daughters. However, her greatest passion was spending time with her family. In recent years she was the loudest cheerleader at many of her grandchildren’s baseball and softball games, cheerleading competitions, gymnastic meets and soccer games.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, her brother John Cocco and her infant grandson, John William Villella. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Villella; her three children, John Villella and his wife Lena (DiMatteo) of Royalton, New York, daughters Lynna’ Villella Blessing and her husband Thomas Blessing of Lake Worth, Florida, and Billie Jo Villella Hamm and her husband Michael Hamm of Lake Worth, Florida. She is leaving behind her greatest treasures, her six grandchildren, Andrew and Amber Villella, Sevanna and Casie Blessing, and Michael and Madison Hamm. She is also survived by her sister Jackie (Muscarella) Cushman of Barker, New York and her lifelong best friend Marilyn Budde of Port Charlotte, Florida, along with several nieces and nephews.

Linda was a guiding light of strength for her family and all who knew her. She made us all better people and will live in our hearts and minds until we see her again.

The family would like to thank all the caring people of Hospice of Palm Beach County, especially the Jade Team.

Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Linda’s life Monday, March 9, 2015 from 5-8PM, with a 7:30PM vigil at Quattlebaum Funeral Home 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417. On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Therese Catholic Church, 11800 Lake Worth Rd., Wellington, FL 33449 at 11AM. Burial will be in South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Linda’s name to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation. 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407. Donations can also be made online at www.hpbcf.org. A donation to St Therese Catholic Church Music Department 11800 Lake Worth Rd., Wellington, FL 33449, can also be made in Linda’s name.
