ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Three East Niagara volunteer fire companies are taking part in a state-wide initiative in April to bolster their ranks.
So far, Rapids, Barker and Hartland fire companies have signed on to be part of the annual RecruitNY campaign with more companies potentially joining before the April 25-26 weekend of the annual drive.
Last year, more than 500 fire departments in 55 counties across the state held recruitment open houses. FASNY is hoping for an even higher turnout this year.
