TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 37-year-old Albion man was charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Dysinger Road early Saturday morning.

According to the arrest report from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Ronald E. Young, 14122 Ridge Road, Albion, was seen swerving while driving and stopped by patrol while traveling east on Robinson Road.

When patrol asked Young for his license, they were handed a library card. Although Young denied having anything to drink and refused a breath test, he was determined to be intoxicated following a series of field sobriety tests. A search incident to arrest produced a small metal cylindrical container in Young's front right pants pocket, which police say contained marijuana.

Young was taken to Niagara County Jail, charged with DWI, unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, and refusal to take a breath test. He was held on $250 bail and ordered to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
