Mark D. Pierce of Lockport, passed away on Friday 6, 2015 at Buffalo General while surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lockport, NY on December 24, 1956, he was the son of the late Harry and Ruth (Nerber) Pierce. A 1974 graduate of Lockport High School, Mark worked for Kohler Machines for 21 years and then worked for T & L Automatic in Rochester for 10 years before retiring in 2005. He married the love of his life, Deborah Bucci, on February 18, 1978. Mark's passion in life besides his family was hunting and fishing. He was like a kid in a candy shop waiting for hunting season every year, and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing with his friends Rich and AJ.

Mark was a 37-year member of the Moose Lodge, a member of the Navy Marine Club along with playing on the Navy Marine Club's Euchre team. After his retirement, Mark thoroughly enjoyed camping, spending time with his family and being actively involved with and spoiling his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, Mark is survived by his three children, Tracy Koker, Tiffany Pierce and Shawn Pierce, all of lockport; five grandchildren, Ryan and Kennedy Koker, Jordan Starcher, Tyler Echlin, and Shawn Pierce, Jr. He is also survived by four brothers, Harry Pierce, Jr. of Troy, NY, Raymond (Mary) Pierce, Paul Pierce and Lonnie (Julie) Pierce, all of Lockport; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark was predeceased by his son, Mark Pierce, Jr.; and his granddaughter, Kaitlin Ann Koker.

There will be no prior showing or visitation per Mark's request. Instead, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Mark on Tuesday, February 10th at the VFW of Lockport, 112 Caledonia Street, Lockport from 3:30-6:00 PM. Arrangements by the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara St., Lockport, NY.
