ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A red envelope sent to a Niagara County Jail inmate Saturday morning contained contraband, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
Inside the envelope — sent from a Lockport man to a female inmate — were what police believed to be four Suboxone strips, a controlled substance banned at the jail.
Patrol sealed the evidence bag, completed a property management form and request for laboratory examination form and placed them in an evidence locker.
Names omitted from the story as no charges have yet been filed. Charges pending the outcome of the lab analysis.
