TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Niagara Hospice is searching for a college student living in eastern Niagara County who wishes to participate in a paid summer internship.
Students are encouraged to apply for the Special Events Internship, made possible through the Grigg Lewis Foundation’s Workership Program. The primary focus of the Workership is to provide financial assistance to area college students; to allow local institutions to expand their summer programming and to benefit the entire community by the expanded and improved programs of the agencies.
Anyone interested in applying for the workership position must be a college student who will be returning to his or her studies in the fall of 2015, or a high school graduate who has been accepted at an accredited college for fall 2015.
A student with career goals in the fundraising, event planning, marketing and public relations fields will benefit from the Special Events Internship. The student will be involved in the planning and execution of fundraisers during the summer. Necessary skills include desktop publishing, MS Office, writing, general office skills, multitasking, organization and superior telephone etiquette.
Applicants for these positions need not attend college in Niagara County but their permanent residence must be in eastern Niagara County. Interested parties may visit the Careers page at www.NiagaraHospice.org for application instructions.
