TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 26-year-old Dysinger Road woman was charged Wednesday evening with shoplifting after she reportedly stole items from Tops.

According to a report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Santoria L. Benton, 6489 Dysinger Road, Apt. 17, was seen by Tops employees concealing two alcoholic beverages, a sandwich, candy, mouthwash and body spray before leaving the store without paying for them.

After NCSO arrived and began to read her rights Benton stated to Patrol that "this is not the first time I have got caught for this " and "I will repay them if you let me go inside and talk to them," according to the report.

She was charged with petit larceny and remanded to the Niagara County Jail on $500 bail. She was ordered to appear in Town of Lockport Court this morning.
