SOMERSET — Someone did $200 damage to the door of a Lake Road restaurant and stole the cash from the register.
The owner of Sandy's Country Kitchen reported to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday morning that someone had broken into the business and taken all the cash from the cash register tray. It is unknown exactly how much was stolen.
Patrol said it appeared the thieves also tried to pry the front of the ATM off the but was unable to remove any money from the machine.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
