RAPIDS — A 19-year-old Rapids Road man was charged with DWI and a plethora of traffic infractions late Thursday night.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Harley D. Silcox, 6773 Rapids Road, Lot 221, had driven his vehicle into a ditch on Crosby Road around 11 p.m.
When patrol arrived and interviewed Silcox, he said that as he was driving, there was a snowplow truck driving towards him and he was unable to stop. Patrol identified Silcox as being intoxicated and found him to have a blood alcohol content of .15 percent.
He was charged with DWI, driving on the shoulders, a license restriction violation, operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed drive, and speeding, He was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. He is to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Jan. 20.
