CLARENCE — A 58-year-old Lockport man charged Thursday with DWI had a blood alcohol content of twice the legal limit, according to police.
Michael Germain was stopped for an uninspected motor vehicle on Transit Road in the Town of Clarence. State Police say he had slow slurred speech along with a strong odor of an alcohol beverage on his breath.
He subsequently failed the Standard Field Sobriety Tests, was arrested and processed at SP Lockport with a blood alcohol content of .17 percent.
He is slated for Town of Clarence Court on Feb. 3.
