news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Niagara Falls man who refused to comply with a police order to remain in his vehicle was charged Friday afternoon with obstruction of government administration.
According to the NCSO report, patrol observed Jeremy Q. Brown, 28, 1422 Robinson Ct., Niagara Falls leave the Yellow Goose parking lot around 2:26 p.m. while talking on his cell phone, heading west on Niagara Street Extension. Patrol then caught up with him at the Niagara County Jail parking lot.
Patrol attempted to interview Brown but he refused to identify himself and got out of his car, the report says. Eventually, he did give patrol ID but still refused to return to his car. After numerous warnings, he was charged with obstruction, as well as a ticket for driving while talking on his cell phone.
He was held in the county jail on $500 and ordered to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Feb. 3.
