SYRACUSE — The Lockport Express won their second of two weekend games against the Syracuse Stampede this afternoon, doubling up on the home team 4-2.
Michael Crissy opened up the scoring for the Express at 12:31, assisted by Mark Friol.
Syracuse' Xavier Perron, tied the game up just 56 seconds into the second period. Felix Landry tallied the assist on the goal. Frank Vecchio Jr. scored on the power play at 6:54, assisted by Anthony Merante and Christian Whitcomb. The Stampede tied it again at 15:02 on a Braeden Pearl power play goal, assisted by Perron.
In the third, Jacob Burford put the Express back on top 3-2 at 7:53. Crissy assisted. Then Merante wrapped it up at 19:49 with an unassisted empty netter, making the final 4-2.
The two teams will both play again next weekend in Lockport — just not against each other.
Lockport hosts a three-game NA3EHL showcase from Friday through Jan. 18. All 10 of the league's teams will be in town to play at Cornerstone CFCU Arena. In all, 15 NA3EHL games will be played over the three days.
