CANTON — A pair of East Niagara students received academic honors from SUNY Canton, the school announced Friday.

"On behalf of the entire SUNY Canton community, I'd like to congratulate each of you on your academic success this semester," said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. "We applaud the hard work and perseverance you've demonstrated to attain this special recognition."

To receive President's List honors, full-time students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Among the students to earn the highest academic honor at SUNY Canton were:
  • Codi D. Mckee, a SUNY Canton Civil and Environmental Technology major from Barker. Mckee graduated from Barker Central School in 2012.
  • Jeffrey S. Riederer, a SUNY Canton Law Enforcement Leadership major from Lockport. Riederer graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 2007.
