A K9 unit searched for the assailant in the city's Impact Zone.
The Lockport Police Department made available an incident report today that shed further light on a late-night robbery at a South Transit Street gas station on Saturday.

According the incident report, patrol responded to the Sunoco station, 100 S. Transit St., around 11:43 p.m. for the report of a robbery.

"Upon arrival, patrol interviewed the victim, who stated he was in the cooler when a white male, about six-feet, 210 pounds, wearing a red hooded sweat shirt, red mask, tan pants, and black shoes and gloves entered the store," the report says. "The victim went to the counter and once behind the counter, the suspect demanded the money in the register. The victim handed the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect fled the store."

The incident report says the race of the suspect is unknown and eyewitnesses say only the suspects eyes showed through a hole in the mask.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office assisted in a manhunt near the gas station, primarily focusing on an area between South Transit and Locust streets and between High and Main streets. A K9 unit was called in but lost track of the suspect's scent. The case has been transferred to the detective division for further investigation.

Police have not said if the suspect from Saturday is the same one who robbed the station on Monday, but a representative from LPD did note the similarities of the incidents, including the fact that the assailant used a knife in both robberies.
