TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 33-year-old Lockport woman was charged Friday with grand larceny, accused of stealing over $1,000 worth of cash and/or merchandise from Walmart — her employer.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Stacey A. Culverwell, 76 Elmwood Ave., Front Apt., had been scanning items at her register then voiding the transactions. The police report notes incidents that occurred on Dec. 16, 19, 21 and 23 with the value of the items totaling $1,014.96.
Culverwell was charged around 6:10 a.m. Friday with fourth-degree grand larceny. She was remanded to the Niagara County Jail on $750 bail and ordered to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Jan. 8.
