Mary Alice Nodine passed away November 29, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport.

Born in Lockport on June 15, 1929 she was the daughter of William and Alberta (Bradley) Lanighan. Mary Alice retired in 2000 from Niagara County Department of Social Services. She received her RN from NCCC in 1980 and worked for Lockport Memorial Hospital. As a teenager she was the first female to work for Castle’s Dairy in Olcott. Mary Alice was a member of the St. Joseph’s Academy Alumni. She shared her love of bridge over the years with many special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Richard Nodine, in 1996.

Mary Alice is survived by her children Nancy (James) Brown of Keene, NH, Mary (Michael) Hoffman of Lockport, Martin Nodine of Lockport, and Paul (Emily) Nodine of Ft. Myers, FL; beloved grandmother of Kara, Brenna, Brett, Bryce Brown, Kathryn Hoffman, Ryan Hoffman, and Jaclyn (Rain) Bald; great grandmother of Kayden James Brown and Leah Mae Bald; sister of John Lanighan, Elizabeth Dickenson both of Lockport and the late Helen Butler; also many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Inurnment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Donations to American Heart Associations or Sister Helens Food Pantry.
