WRIGHTS CORNERS — A 54-year-old Town of Lockport woman was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of two and a half times the legal limit, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.

Cindy S. Wolcott, 54, 4333 Plank Road was seen driving on the shoulder of the road around 4:38 p.m. Friday, according to her arrest report. The vehicle then crossed the double yellow line for no apparent reason before patrol initiated a traffic stop.

"Patrol asked the driver to produce her license and registration," the arrest report said. "She handed patrol a framed picture of her family."

Wolcott reportedly asked patrol, "Can't you just drive me home? I know I had too much too drink."

She was determined to be intoxicated and found to have a blood alcohol content of .21 percent.

She was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, failure to keep right and driving on the shoulder. She was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Newfane Court on Jan. 6.
