Steven D. Johnson
TOWN OF NIAGARA — A 38-year-old Lockport man was charged with petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana last week, New York State Police announced on Thursday.

Niagara County Sheriff Dispatch alerted area patrols of a larceny in progress from Kmart in the Town of Niagara on Dec. 10. A male, later identified as Steven D. Johnson, was observed running on Porter Road who fit the description of the suspect. Johnson was positively identified by store security, and had the stolen property — a computer cable and charger, estimate value of $20.

Johnson was placed under arrest and processed at SP Niagara. Marihuana was located in Johnson’s pocket. Johnson was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Niagara on Jan. 5.
